Biography:

Mark Maslin听is a Professor of听Earth System Science听at听UCL. Maslin is a leading scientist with particular听expertise in understanding the听Anthropocene听and how it relates to the major challenges facing humanity in the 21st听century.听听He听has publish over 165听papers in journals such as听Science,听Nature,听and The Lancet,听with a current citation count according to Google Scholar over听17,500听(H=64听and i10 index=159) with 38听papers that have been cited over 100 times.听He has听written听11听books, over听50听popular articles听and appears regularly听on radio and television.听His books include the high successful 鈥楥limate Change: A Very Short Introduction鈥� (OUP, 2014 and 21), The Cradle of Humanity (OUP, 2017 and 19) and The Human Planet: How we created the听Anthropocene听co-authored with Simon Lewis (Penguin, 2018).听He was included in Who鈥檚 Who for the first time in 2009 and was granted a Royal Society听Wolfson听Research Merit听Scholarship听in 2011.
